How much does it cost to stay at Hillside?
This would depend upon whether you will pay privately, or if Medicare or Medicaid is to be billed, or whether you may have private insurance.

What kind of payment do you accept?
Private pay sources, Medicare or Medicaid, insurance reimbursements. Payments may be made by check or money order or cash.

How do you apply for Medicaid?
While there are financial limitations applied to those who seek Medicaid assistance, we will provide you with some information and persons to contact at those offices.

Do you have a waiting list?
At any given time there may be a waiting list of individuals who seek admission. Although this is not always the case, the Admission Coordinator will know for sure.

How do you get admitted?
You must produce medical documentation that indicates the need for nursing or rehabilitative or assisted living. This documentation must be reviewed by us to ensure we can provide the care indicated. Once the financial matters are reviewed a room is selected and the process is complete.

I was told that I was guaranteed 100 days of Medicare coverage.
Why is my coverage being discontinued?

If you have been assessed to no longer require skilled services as required by Medicare, then your Medicare coverage may stop. You may then have to pay privately or utilize your insurance coverage or Medicaid.

What are skilled services?
Skilled services are generally services a resident requires that must be performed by a licensed nurse or therapist. These services may include dressing changes, medication administration or procedure monitoring.

I was told my skilled services are being discontinued.
Do I have to leave the facility after the last covered day?

No, you will not have to leave the facility but your payor source might change or you might have to pay privately.

Will I have a private room?
A private room is determined by the services being provided as well as the availability.

Will my doctor be following me at Hillside Nursing and Rehab Center?
In order for your doctor to follow your care at Hillside Nursing and Rehab center, it is mandatory that they comply with the regulatory requirements and facility policies. We have a Medical Director who is familiar with the needs and requirements of someone who is admitted and they will be more than willing to follow your care at Hillside.
